Sandy: My tennis team had a holiday party complete with white elephant gifts. Normally I’m not amused by white elephant exchanges but last night my sense of humor returned and I could appreciate the hilarity of a few gifts. One was a ridiculous green and red-stripped elf hat that, once switched on, would flop the tip of the hat back and forth with such might that the bell on the end of the tip would whack the wearer practically causing a concussion. Another was a doorbell that played one tune for Christmas and another tune for New Year’s – but it didn’t work! That was the best part and typical of a white elephant gift. The most surprising gift was – a ceramic white elephant. Novel idea!
Sandy’s year long journey – going from being a right-hander to left-hander, and Kelly’s parallel trip as a left-hander doing things as a right-hander.
