Sandy: I admit, yesterday’s post was pitiful. And today I had a lot of work to do because I must finish it this week. My desk is cluttered. It has piles of paper and books on one side but I know what is in what pile. I call it lateral filing. I do not like file folders nor do I like to file. I have one drawer, a little bigger than the size of a file box, completely full of files but I never go through them. Only one of them is for a current client. Now that virtually all of my work is done on the computer, I don’t have to save sketches and scraps any more. Wow! Just drew my desk. It looks pretty messy, um, actively used. I might operate differently if I needed more desk space but I put my keyboard and mouse on a lap table because it lowers them to a level so I don’t have to lift my shoulders.
