Sandy: Thank you to all veterans who served in the armed forces, my dad included. Dad was a pilot, flying cargo planes in World War II. Cargo planes had a higher percentage of surviving than fighter plans. For years I’ve been the keeper of my dad’s “wings” (although momentarily the silver pin is hiding from me). They are pretty cool. My brother has our dad’s flight jacket and a uniform, also pretty cool. It’s quite meaningful to hold these mementos knowing the contribution made by servicemen and women.
Sandy’s year long journey – going from being a right-hander to left-hander, and Kelly’s parallel trip as a left-hander doing things as a right-hander.
