Sandy: When I was writing checks today (yeah, still writing checks occasionally, and with my left hand), I realized I have had my pen for over 30 years. It is still my all-time favorite writing instrument. It’s a S.T. Dupont ball point pen. I received it as a gift. It is a “men’s” style that has a clip so it can be secured to something (paper, journal, etc.) which has kept me from losing it. At the time I couldn’t fathom that there would be much difference between ball point pens but the engineering of the Dupont ball is so precise that it revolves very smoothly when I write; it doesn’t matter which hand I’m using. (I’ve read complaints about ball point pens not rolling properly for left-handers.) And it never skips or gets clogged. I’ve personalized my pen by somehow nicking it so it has a tiny bare spot in the lacquer.
Sandy’s year long journey – going from being a right-hander to left-hander, and Kelly’s parallel trip as a left-hander doing things as a right-hander.
