Sandy: When I was in Sixth grade I could do a standing broad jump measuring 6 feet, pretty long for being 5 feet tall. That is my memory. Though in reality, I could be remembering incorrectly because I don’t think I could have been 5 feet tall when I was 12 years old. Whatever the length, it was long for my height. Fast forward to 2013, when I do a broad jump in boot camp I jump less than three feet. It must have a lot to do with my weight to size ratio. When I was young I felt like I was flying. Now I feel like a boulder landing.
