Sandy: Today my friend, a friend to many, would be celebrating her 65th birthday had she not died from cancer last year. She had such an impact on so many people that I know a lot of us will be remembering her with a toast. The most recent, thoughtful tribute was done in a very special way by McEvoy Ranch. The 2012 Rosebud, a rose of pinot noir, was named with our friend in mind. She was a beautiful, effervescent, funny, redheaded author, singer and musician. She introduced people because “you should know each other” and loved wearing cowgirl boots. Just before she died, with a smile she whispered “Rosebud” made famous in Citizen Kane. The illustration on the front label has black and metallic rose gold-colored cowgirl boots. On the wine’s back label is written, “Live, laugh, drink and dance like a redheaded cowgirl strumming a leopard Stratocaster.”
Sandy’s year long journey – going from being a right-hander to left-hander, and Kelly’s parallel trip as a left-hander doing things as a right-hander.
