Day 229 : home plate

229homeplate

Sandy: Yesterday I had breakfast at a restaurant on Lombard Street for the first time and I’ve driven past it more than 1000 times. It’s called Home Plate. I can’t remember the last time I had Florentine Benedict for under $9.00. It was really good. Seems like the going rate everywhere else is no less than $15.00. I thought most of the places on Lombard attract tourists but I went with a friend who has lived in San Francisco for over 35 years. What a find! My friend tells me the pancakes are very good. The Crabcake Benedict sounded awfully tasty, too.

Sandy’s year long journey – going from being a right-hander to left-hander, and Kelly’s parallel trip as a left-hander doing things as a right-hander.
