Sandy: I watched the enormous trimarans in today’s semi-final race for the America’s Cup. What a sight! The sails are so tall they can clearly be seen from Crissy Field even when they are by the Golden Gate Bridge. Their mast height is 131.2 feet and the hull length is 72.2 feet. I was doing stand up paddle yoga, that is yoga on a paddleboard. Luckily we were inside the breakwater while the trimarans were in the middle of the bay. I don’t know about these new trimarans but it doesn’t make a lot of difference if you are left or right hand dominant when sailing, or paddleboarding or yoga.
Sandy’s year long journey – going from being a right-hander to left-hander, and Kelly’s parallel trip as a left-hander doing things as a right-hander.
