Sandy: Over the weekend we stayed with friends at their Tahoe cabin. I was inspired to draw it while sitting in the front yard. After I added color I finally learned that drawing buildings in a 5″ x 5″ space doesn’t do justice to the architecture. The impression of the cabin from the outside is deceiving to what you find indoors. It feels spacious, homey and cozy inside with it’s fossil slate floors, knotty pine wood paneling, rustic handmade furniture, a farmhouse kitchen sink and oodles of books. A beach on the Truckee River is just a 150 feet down a path where the parade of rafts can be your afternoon entertainment if you wish.
Sandy’s year long journey – going from being a right-hander to left-hander, and Kelly’s parallel trip as a left-hander doing things as a right-hander.
