Inspired by the Richard Diebenkorn exhibit I saw yesterday, I didn’t use my eraser today. Pencil and charcoal were visible on many of Diebenkorn’s finished paintings. On some of his drawings I could see he drew over and smudged what he didn’t like. So I did the same on my rendering today.
Sandy: This morning I had steel cut oatmeal with blueberries and a dollop of Amaretto apricot jam made by my friend Nancy who has an apricot tree. Wow! it was the best apricot jam I’ve tasted. Even better than the cinnamon apricot jam made by Amy, and than the Alsation apricot jam I made – both of which were really, really good. The apricot flavor was very distinct but the hint of Amaretto gave it so much depth. Nancy dropped off some plums today and I can’t wait to try a plum preserve recipe.
Sandy’s year long journey – going from being a right-hander to left-hander, and Kelly’s parallel trip as a left-hander doing things as a right-hander.
