Sandy: My dad’s boyhood name was George. Most of his friends now call him by his middle name, Tuck. Though a little unusual, I’ve met a couple of men named Tuck. One guy’s given name was Charles but he didn’t like Chuck as a nickname so he chose to call himself Tuck.
When my mom went to Catholic school in Shanghai she was given the name Jane. She saw a British owned boutique in Shanghai called Baby Jayne, liked the spelling better and changed her name.
