Day 130 : better bow

Tired of your shoe laces becoming untied by themselves? This is a tried and true method for tying shoe laces that won’t come untied. To untie them just pull the shoestring end like you would normally. You do not have to work the knot loose like you do if you tie a double knot.

Here are easy-peasy instructions : Begin by tying a standard shoelace knot with an overhand knot. Make a loop on one side, holding it with your fingers. With the other shoe lace, circle around the loop and your finger twice. Push the shoe lace through the hole as you retract your finger that was holding the first loop.

Sandy: I’ve been tying my tennis shoe laces like this for 20 years and they have never untied during a tennis match.

Sandy’s year long journey – going from being a right-hander to left-hander, and Kelly’s parallel trip as a left-hander doing things as a right-hander.
